in Continuing Education and Pre-licensing classes to licensed and prospective bail bonds agents / Surety Agents throughout
Rod Dowston - General Agent and Instructor
Mr. Dowston is a national general agent for Palmetto Surety and Surety 3 General Agency
and Prior to joining Palmetto Surety and Surety 3 General Agency, Rod was the Co-Founder of Ninpo Surety and I see no problem
bail bonds. Rod has been in the bail bond profession for over twenty four years as an Surety Agent, General Agent and Recovery
Agent. He is licensed by the Florida Department of Financial Services (FDFS) as a Managing General Agent, a Limited Surety Agent and
is also an approved Instructor of both bail bond agent pre-licensing and bail bond continuing education courses. Rod attended Miami
Killian and
Rod is a former law enforcement officers, A licensed private investigator, NRA Instructor, Karate Champion, Karate Instructor and Security Officers Instructor. He has undertaken extensive training in law enforcement, fugitive recovery and self defends. Mr. Dowston holds the distinction of having earned the martial arts industry’s highest designation, and has been inducted into the martial arts / karate Hall of Fame. Before retiring from competition, Rod has been the Florida State Champion, Empire State Karate Champion (New York), The Caribbean Full Contact Karate Champion (virgin Islands), winner of the Police Olympics and Police and Fire Fighter championships and other karate tournaments and championships. Rod was a member of the undefeated " Florida 1 - Superstar Karate Team" with Herb Thompson, Charlie Smith, Tony Palmore, James Sisco, and Rod Dowston
Rod is still seen posting bonds at local jails for agents and performing recovery work. Rod has help expanded Palmetto Surety and Surety 3 General Agency growing network of professional bail agents into other states
Rod actively pursues advancement of Palmetto Surety and Surety 3 General Agency growth and the surety bail industry. Rod also maintains non-resident licenses in other states.
