            SUMMARY OF AGENT DUTIES: ARE THESE THE DUTIES THAT YOU'RE ALREADY PERFORMING?

 

The Agent/Producer position encompasses a wide range of activities with involvement in all phases of bonding and must be competent and proficient with all facets of the duties, skills and responsibilities required to underwrite and execute (post) bail bonds.

 

 The Agent/Producer must wear casual business attire at all times when meeting with clients or potential clients and while visiting courts or jails.

 

 The Agent/Producer puts the agency's needs first and works closely with the underwriters, manager, and agency owner on problem solving and daily work flow. This person works directly with the manager to resolve their respective problems. Other duties may be assigned.

  

 Meet potential clients, both in county of residence as well as outlying counties, to fill out applications, accept payment, execute paperwork to perfect liens on collateral, and execute bail bonds

 

 Account for and produce, at any time request by management, all powers of attorney (bonds) that have been assigned including keeping accurate and detailed records of who bonds are executed for, when, where, and for the amount(s) along with detailed records of collateral taken

  

 Carry a personal cell phone and respond or  answer calls in a timely manner pursuant to company guidelines, to calls when “on call” in person and by telephone, and set appointments to execute bonds

 

 Deposit all company money into assigned office safe or bank account according to company procedures

  

 Keep records of marketing and activities at various courts and jails in the surrounding counties

 

 Attend and participate in various promotional and public relation activities as requested

  

 Help locate, and/or apprehend, clients who fail to return for scheduled court appearances

  

 Must maintain reliable private, personal transportation available at all times to travel to jails and courts as required by the company

 

 Maintain open flexible schedule during “on call” times to allow for posting of bail bonds as needed by the company with a maximum time of one hour to be able to leave for assignment.

 

 Give company an advance notice of any days off needed

 

 Perform other such duties as may be assigned to assist in the marketing, execution, or loss mitigation of bail bond

 

Florida Statutes 648.387(2) - Primary bail bond agents; duties.  The primary bail bond agent is responsible for the overall operation and management of a bail bond agency location, whose responsibilities may include, without limitations, hiring and supervising of all individuals within the location, whether they deal with the public in the solicitation or negotiation of bail bond contracts or in the collection or accounting of moneys. A person may be designated as primary bail bond agent for only one location.

 

 

So, in other words, you are being pimped. You are doing the duties of the owner and/or Partner, but without the benefits and/or  pay.
